Why generic manufacturing software breaks on custom facades

Generic manufacturing software assumes a stable item, a forecast, and a dock. Custom facades have none of those: the design arrives late, every mark is unique, and you are still responsible on a building you do not control. The software then forces part numbers, standard costs, and “shipped = done.”
