How to scan panels on the job site

Site scanning means the installer scans a crate for contents, then scans products as they go on the building so status moves from shipped to installed. Spectr’s mobile app is built for that, on the same records the shop used.

Key facts

The label on the panel has to match the drawing mark and the system ID.
Scanning a crate first answers “what do we even have on this load?”
Spectr describes this as a virtual packing list in the installer’s pocket.

Print durable labels in the shop
A smeared marker is not scannable at height.
Scan the crate on unload

Gloves and height — scanning is annoying.

Can we scan a whole elevation at once?

Batch only if you are sure. Batch lies become month-end arguments.
